Round Hill Roastery Visit

As part of our Gatare #86 collaboration with Round Hill and the Exploding Bakery, we drove across the boarder into Somerset to spend the morning at the Round Hill Roastery in Midsomer Norton watching the coffee come to life. The Round Hill team set up custom roasts for our home brew filter and also the special edition for the bakery, providing a custom profile and tone. We were amused to see the roaster filtering out the Rwandan stones and twigs too as the coffee entered it's final stages.

When we were all researching what we wanted to do with this collaboration, we had previously enjoyed a test roast of the Rwandan Gatare #86 batch, but it was a great experience seeing the final beans go through the roaster and into bags with the smell of a batch running through the in-house coffee machine. Always In Colour branded, the sticker/bagger conveyor line was kind of the most fun bit.
