Battenwear Batten-Down Parka

Battenwear Batten-Down Parka in Black. Inspired by parka styles of the 1970’s, the Battenwear Batten-Down Parka features a water repellent ripstop outer and 700 fill power feather down insulation for a high level of warmth and weather protection. Designed with active wear in the great outdoors in mind, the raglan sleeve shape allows for greater range of movement and the front is fastened by a two-way full length zip concealed by a placket with multiple snap buttons customised with the Battenwear logo. Horizontal quilting across the jacket helps to trap body heat and continues across the hood which can be adjusted in fit to suit your personal preference using drawcords complete with a leather stopper and detached when not needed using snap buttons. On either side of the waist generously sized pockets have velcro secured top sections and side entry hand warming pockets that sit behind the two-way zip front. Around the hem of the jacket an additional pullcord adjuster means you can cinch in or relax the fit to suit different weather conditions and activities.

A modern revision to a classic favourite, Battenwear has brought its own touch to an insulating, weather resistant parka coat for AW21 with customised details, horizontal baffle stitching and a blend of 90/10 down and feather to provide a high level of warmth. Founded in 2011 by designer and vintage enthusiast Shinya Hasegawa, Battenwear focuses on creating purposeful, practical designs that reflect a love for surfing and outdoor clothing from the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s.
