Re-issued on vinyl by WeMe at the tail end of 2019, The Album - 3 x 12 inch, originally released as digital only as the fourth LP released by Italian electronic duo D’Arcangelo via Rephlex Records - a label launched in 1991 by Richard D.James (aka Aphex Twin) in Cornwall UK who has since relocated to London. Known for their relaxed and stylised approach to creating music, D’Arcangelo are creative in their approach which results in a variety of sounds that span across industrial, lounge and hip-hop genres and always keeps fans on their toes for what’s coming next.

Starting with a punch, The Album has a mixed energy that perfectly captures the variety of D’Arcangelo’s music which is varied, experimental yet recognisable for those in the know. The two brothers Fabrizio and Marco D’Arcangelo are known for their love of new wave and dark synth pop which continues to inform each of their releases as well as, like many electronic artists, the work of Aphex Twin during the 00s.
