Nike Air Max 270 Bowfin Shoes - Black / Anthracite - Black
An addition to Nike’s Bowfin fish inspired line, these Air Max 270 shoes have an inconspicuous black colourway with anthracite accents. A highly textured finish has been achieved through a mix of synthetic fabrics used to construct the uppers, which also have patterns within their woven design. Influenced by water moccasins and trail running shoes, breathability is a focus across this range alongside tough detailing which results in a fusion of both a contemporary aesthetic and performance.
A raised ankle silhouette provides a high level of support which is complemented by the front lace design that draws in tonal rope laces through a toggle adjuster. A thick synthetic material has been used across the toes and heel whilst being layered upon a mesh edged ankle entrance. Within the shoe, a highly cushioned lining has been added in addition to a large Air Max unit within the outsole. Circular embossing flows around the midsection of the sole and a reflective black panel across the base accentuates the heel shape. An embroidered Nike swoosh tick can be seen on the outer side of the toe.
Recognisable through patterned skin, the Bowfin - also known as a dog fish - is the main influence for this progressive range from Nike, which uses colour and texture from the freshwater animal for layered, style-heavy models. Leading the way for performance driven footwear, Nike continue to rework original styles for new contemporary releases with the inclusion of original elements such as Air Max sole units and retro colourways.
