Nike React Element 87 Shoes

Arriving just in time for the spring sunshine, the Nike React Element 87 has been updated in a dusty peach colourway. The TPE has a translucent toe unit, contrasted by suede and synthetic accenting around the futuristic lacing unit in royal blue. However, the real star of the shoe is the opaque dusty peach detailing around the collar, heel and geometrically designed tongue - broken through by further blue accenting around the back of the shoe and lacing unit as well as Nike React branding at the top of the tongue. Despite having so many futuristic design aspects this colourway conveys a more rustic image, reflecting Nike’s commitment in SS19 to branching together heritage and future.

Although the eyelets of the shoe have their roots in that of the 1980 Nike Internationalist, the rest of the shoe is at the forefront of design. Primarily the TPE upper gives not only a lightweight look but feel too allowing for comfort levels which are already relatively unrivalled thanks to the unique React foam cushioning system used in the sole. React technology was developed by Nike’s inhouse designers as the most versatile form of cushioning yet, having been tested for two-thousand hours over a variety of sporting disciplines. Built for all-day comfort, the shoe also features rubber pods that detail the length of the white midsole which provides both durability and traction in traditionally high-stress areas.

Nike’s SS19 campaign has been running with the theme of revitalising the old and this edition of the React Element 87 has introduced the best aspects of old-school runners with updates built for a 21st century lifestyle.
