Nike React Element 87 Shoes

Another iteration to the South Beach collection, the Nike React Element 87 has arrived in perfect timing for spring. The translucent upper is a shade of royal tint, which is accented with blue running around the toebox and around the asymmetric tongue which features white ‘Nike React’ printed branding. Solar red stitching connects to the grey suede lacing unit, which sits below a contrasting forest green waved eyestay with subtle hints of purple. Finally, the side panel is adorned with a wolf grey swoosh, which 3M reflective detailing on the heel tab and eyelets. A cork sockliner, is visible through the upper and features a swoosh design. This cool colour palette sits atop a crisp white midsole, which features translucent rubber pods which act to provide extra traction in heavy wear.

The React Element is at the forefront of Nike’s footwear technology, created primarily through geometric design.The React cushioning sole was developed to minimise pressure on high-stress areas that were found following 2,000 hours of rigorous testing, this created a truly anatomic shaping to the sole of the shoe which additionally offers 13% more energy return on high impacts than previously. Despite an evidently futuristic influence, the new season of Nike footwear has stayed true to its heritage roots, and this shoe is no exception with its lacing unit taking inspiration from the 1980 Nike Internationalist. With a lightweight and breathable feel and a complementary colour palette, these are a must for summer days on the street, beach or track.
