Stepney Workers Club Varden Canvas Shoes in Ecru. Seen here in a neutral colourway with heavyweight 12oz canvas uppers, the Stepney Workers Club Varden is styled with fully vulcanised rubber sole and a concealed siped tread. The natural cotton uppers feature tonal stitched seams with a T-bar style forefoot, whilst the glossy egret midsole is designed with auxetic overlays. Flat laces secure the tongue in place, whilst metal eyelets provide a contrasting finish. Signed off with printed S.W.C. insoles, handshake logo tongue labels and with traditional debossed ‘S.W.C.’ rubber scabs across each heel.
Inspired by British working sports clubs and by an appreciation for bygone eras, Stepney Workers Club is a pioneering label that launched in 2018. Based in East London and known for their timeless aesthetic, Stepney Workers Club draws continual reference from their heritage influence and from their own ‘Freedom of Thought, Freedom of Sport’ ethos.
