Universal Works Lancaster Jacket

Seen here in a sand colourway, this Universal Works Lancaster Jacket has been cut to a regular fit with a soft fleece outer. Fastened by a full length placket with a selection of circular brown tone buttons, the shawl collar neckline has an external cotton lining which adds structure and supports the folded shape. On either side of the waist two curved patch pockets are available to store essentials with soft colour matched cotton top edges which match the trims along the front placket, around the edge of the collar, sleeve cuffs and hem of the body. Lightweight but insulating, this jacket can be styled as a midlayer below a waterproof shell for comfort or used a top layer throughout the warmer months.

Founded by David Keyte, Universal Works is a Nottingham based menswear brand that creates seasonal collections of thoughtful, considered pieces that blend streetwear, workwear, military and classic british styles. For autumn/winter ‘19 the designs follow a loose theme of the Aesop fable the tortoise and the hare which teaches the importance of calm and consistent processes that the UW team have translated into fine detailing and a hand picked selection of luxurious fabrics.
