AiC: The Edit - August 2023

Giving it the credit it deserves, AiC: The Edit finds its new home here on the Always in Colour blog. Sharing a monthly run-down of some of our favourite new arrivals and a number of outfit inspirations for the days ahead, here you’ll find some of the latest pieces from brands including Workware, Aries and Norse Projects. Favourites for the month of August include knitwear and layers from new arrivals including Workware and Aries. Featuring an ombre-style knit inspired by vintage styles and the well-known British heritage site, the Aries Henge Knit Jumper offers additional coverage during unexpected colder spells as we move closer to September, whilst the Norse Projects Vagn Classic Hoodie is a great neutral alternative and a great basic layer made from 100% organic cotton. 

Options for lightweight t-shirts include the Aries Mini Problemo and Workwear Think Different Heavyweight Pocket T-Shirt, ideal for wear during warmer spells, whilst the neutral Workwear Lounge Pants are tailored to a relaxed and unisex fitting with an adjustable cuff that can be easily altered to complement the streamlined trail aesthetic of the Salomon XT-4 OG. 

Inspired by Norse Projects’ latest Fall Autumn ‘23 offerings, we share inspiration for a special, second selection this month, led by a focus on transitional pieces, ‘70s collegiate stylings and autumnal colourings. 

Influence stems from classic collegiate styles and military apparel with lightweight layers such as the Ryan Gore-Tex Infinium Jacket styled with Octa-Mesh® insulation and a DWR coating for a breathable yet water-repellent wear. An alternative option includes the Erik Space Dye Alpaca Mohair Cotton Jacket designed with an elasticated hem for a cinched finish across the waist and cuffs. 

An everyday essential made from 100% organic cotton, the Norse Relaxed Jeans are cut with a slight taper and a relaxed fit, a great match for clean and minimalistic footwear options such as the recycled-sole Novesta Star Dribble in 60 Black. Finished with a Twill Sports Cap in Holmen Red for a drop of contrast and additional shade from the waning summer sun.
