Autumn/winter 2018 sees Tokyo based Manastash design a winter-ready collection using fine wale corduroy, heavily patterned fleece and Primaloft recycled insulation. Continually inspired by fashion culture from Japan and the USA, new season styles have a timeless aesthetic with a contemporary, clean finish. Special care has been taken to ensure every detail has been considered which is seen particularly on the green corduroy insulated MT Coach II Jacket which has circular-cut leather shapes beneath the silver pop buttons and cotton shoe-lace pulls on the zip secured pockets. Patterned fleece is particularly popular this season across a number of brands, a great cold-weather staple is the Manastash’s Dizzy Gorilla Jacket.
Manastash follow an ethos of ‘creating functional, stylish and earth-friendly clothing based on the freewheeling lifestyle’. Founded in Seattle, USA in 1993, the brand’s name is taken from a trail located in the Cascade Mountains. Manastash use materials such as recycled fleece, deadstock fabrics and hemp across their outwear which are not only suitable for outdoor and city use, but also lessen the impact their production has on the planet.
