A.P.C. | S
A.P.C. is a brand that creates more than just ‘simplistic clothing’ and is famous for its eye for elevated quality, styling and execution across menswear, womenswear and in particular A.P.C. jeans. Established as one of the leading Paris based ateliers that uses only the best materials, A.P.C. was launched in 1987 by Jean Touitou whose super clean designs were considered rebellious for their stand-out character in contrast to the loud, garish trends of the time. This same nature of doing what others do not has remained over time and A.P.C. continues to shine above the rest when it comes to achieving a minimalistic look across clothing and accessories which extends across digital identity and collaborative projects. Standing for Atelier de Production et de Création or ‘Production and Creation Workshop’, through Touitou’s alternative and often controversial personality A.P.C. represents more than just beautiful clothing.
True to their original vision, collaborations between A.P.C. and the likes of musician Kid Cudi, fashion director Suzanne Koller, Japanese fashion house Sacai and L.A. based Brain Dead reflect a desire to share and celebrate creativity across clothing, footwear and accessories. With strong hints of individual character and expression, consideration to material usage and production are apparent in the most recent release of upcycled quilts as part of the ongoing A.P.C. x Jessican Ogden partnership.
