Inspired by the brand’s original utilitarian roots, Levi’s® Made & Crafted® was launched in 2009 as a means of marking a change in direction towards more contemporary rewrites of classic profiles. Coined as masterful denim connoisseurs ever since Levi Strauss first laid foundations back in 1973, the brand has continued to produce a plethora of premium-quality apparel that strives to fuse authenticity with originality whilst whole-heartedly celebrating both its democratic and inclusive ideals. Levi’s® Made & Crafted® continues to channel such desires through its refined approach to heritage styles, welcoming the reintroduction of more utility-minded designs, rustic colourings and more timeless finishings into the revival of firm favourites such as the 511, 501 and Type II Sherpa Jacket. Following on from their ‘The New West’ collection for SS19, a release that took aim at capturing the very essence of blue-collar denim culture, SS20 for the heritage-inspired collection addressed more explorative colourways influenced by the rolling deserts of Morocco and California’s effervescent energy.

Loyal to Levi’s® long-standing approach to community connectedness, Made & Crafted® combines sustainable initiatives with modern-day desire to improve generic environmental impact. Turning to more eco-friendly fabrics such as cottonized hemp, organically-grown cotton and recycled Tencel Refibra, the collection is granted with an opportunity to hone in on elevated details and clean-lined compositions above all else. Described by Global Design Director Nicolas Rendic as a combination of ‘a bohemian look with a streetwear vibe’, the Made & Crafted® initiative taps into a corner of the global market yet to be discovered.
