Satta
Born out of Brixton, London but now based solely out of Barcelona, Satta is a brand that tells a story of livity; a word with deep-roots in Rastafarian culture that symbolises the celebrative notion of a connected mind, one that is harmoniously bound to nature and our spiritual world. Gaining initial attention prior to their 2014 fruition through founder Joe Lauder’s handcrafted woodwork skateware and his aptly titled ‘Crafted in England’ collection, Satta focuses on small-scale production when it comes to fulfilling its ‘for the greater good’ ethos. Siphoning aesthetic influence from an amalgamation of cross-cultural experiences obtained from time spent in Tibet, Nepal, Morocco, India and Indonesia, as well as from archived ‘60s cut-and-sew profiles, utilitarian militaria and less-celebrated colour tones, Satta delivers a well-balanced aesthetic across all meticulously crafted outerwear silhouettes, t-shirts, sweaters and homewares accessories.
Inspired by nature and captivated by urban city living, Satta focuses on personifying all-organic relationships with a notable appreciation for premium-quality craftsmanship and natural production methods. Honing in on functionality, comfort and simplicity, the visionary Satta team continue to deliver trans-seasonal collections led by a non-conformist desire to celebrate street culture in its purest and most unique form.
