Founded in 1927 by Edouard Beerens, Vetra has remained true to its French roots after various expansions and relocations. Originally based in Paris in the 20s, Vetra began by making workwear garments for men before finding the facilities too limited, which lead to the company relocating to northern France where designing, pattern creation and production continued.
Globally recognised as quality suppliers of crafted workwear styles, Vetra garments are designed for heavy duty activities which is what gives them longevity even when worn purely for fashion. The classic silhouette hasn’t changed much from its creation - the 5C Workwear Jackets have two waist pockets and two chest pockets, one concealed inside, below a neat pointed collar with a metal button front fastening. Variations of the workwear jackets have been introduced, providing staple styles with versatility for all occasions, fabrics such as cotton twill, moleskin and linen are utilised for their natural strong properties.
A continuous focus from the still family run business on quality construction and crisp finishes ensures each Vetra jacket is a for-life piece. Not ones to follow trends, but rather continue to do what they do best, new fabric introductions keep the offering fresh each season. Autumn/winter 18 includes fine wale cotton corduroy in rich brown and navy colourways across signature silhouettes.
