Nike Air Tailwind 79 Shoes

Seen here in a striking pacific blue and team orange colourway, these Nike Air Tailwind 79 Shoes have soft textile uppers with university blue suede overlays along the lace panel, front of the toes and around the back of the heel. Offering a distinctive rework on a classic model, comfort and support remains at the forefront of this design with the inclusion of a Nike Air unit within the heel, and an exposed foam tongue encased by white cotton laces. Signature Nike branding is visible on either outer panel through elongated Swoosh ticks and white capitalised ‘Nike’ lettering against team orange leather sections on either heel.

For durable grip, the white rubber outsole sits upon a light brown waffle tread which increases wearability across a range of terrains. First debuted in the 1978 Honolulu marathon, the Nike Air Tailwind 79 is an iconic model known for bearing the revolutionary air-unit which kick started the Air Max legacy - which is now a standard throughout the majority of Nike styles.
