Nike Air Vortex Shoes

Combining a rich heritage with functionality, the Nike Air Vortex has been infamous since its debut release in the 1980’s. It blends premium materials throughout, with a golden beige suede toe cap which connects to a set of curved suede eyelets inspired by the shoe’s predecessor - the Nike Internationalist. Additionally the toe vamp features a breathable mesh in the same colour which offers a light contrast to the black swoosh which sits on the side panel, connecting to the heel tab with an additional Nike Air logo. The side is a textured nylon panel sitting under the Swoosh, coloured in desert ore. This tonal colour palette is perfect for spring, summarised on top of a crisp white midsole which is layered over a gum outsole.

Despite this seemingly retro design, the shoes have been updated with a modern function. The lightweight phylon midsole features a Zoom Air unit under the sockliner which creates cushioning and support against impacts, due to the shoes history as a track shoe. Furthermore, the waffle outsole provides multi directional tread combined with a gait which mirrors your foots movements which ensures a smooth ride even through the long days.

Staying true to its heritage even thirty years after it’s debut, the style has maintained a low-cut profile with a casual colour palette. Making it both street and field ready which allows for it to be diversely styled.
