Nike React Element 55 Shoes

In a new iteration inspired by grid patterning, the Nike React Element 55 is easily one of Nike’s sleekest silhouettes. The lightweight body is constructed out of a close-knit mesh coloured in armory navy with a grey construction patterning in an all-over print. The suede lacing unit is decorated in darker tones such as metallic grey and black which is sharply contrasted by volt stitching that secures the waved eyestays, this is additionally accented on the asymmetric tongue through ‘Nike React’ branding. The outside side panels are finished with a grey swoosh. This sharp colour palette sits atop a blacked out React midsole featuring the iconic rubber pods offering greater multidirectional traction.

Nike’s newest season has continued to blend sportswear and streetwear, with maximum function making them ready for heavy use. The new face of Nike soles includes React foam, created specifically by Nike’s in-house chemists the technology offers the brands best energy return (up to 13% higher than previously). Furthermore, 2,000 hours of pressure testing have created an anatomically shaped sole offering geometrically designed comfort.

Despite this futuristic take on shoe design, the React Element 55 nod’s to the sportswear giants rich heritage by taking inspiration from the Internationalist, released in 1980, for the lacing unit.
