Nike React Element 55 Shoes

Constructed in a classic yet simple colourway, the Nike React Element 55 Shoes have arrived into the new year in black and white. The black lightweight upper, created from textile with a sheen effect with the varying textures used along the side panel portraying a deconstructed yet modern look. Suede has been used around the eyelets to secure the integrated lacing system and the asymmetrical tongue features small contrasting Nike React branding at the top. The side panel is adorned with the classic Nike swoosh, which connects to the TPU heel clip providing stable support around the back of the shoe. Finally the React’s are finished off with a suede heel counter featuring a small white Nike swoosh on either side, all of which sits on the comfort orientated React Element midsole in white with contrasting black rubber pods which provide long lasting traction in any conditions. Finally there is 3M accenting on the heel pull tab making you visible in low light conditions.

A fusion of street and sport readiness, the React Element is responsive every step of the way. The midsole has been geometrically created, using pressure mapping technology which removes stress from heavy wear making them perfect for all day use. The unique foam created by Nike chemists offers a 13% greater energy return than their previously most cushioned soles, meaning they can be used for any impact heavy sports from basketball to running while playing into streetwear enthusiasts’ interests with their sleek yet simplistic look. Finally the rubber pods highlight its performance focus offering durable and responsive traction in any conditions or terrain.

Despite their futuristic approach in design and technology used, these Nike’s feature hints of nostalgia such as the waved eyelets finding their inspiration in the Nike Internationalist originally released in 1981. Whereas the tongue can be attributed to 2017’s incredibly popular release, the Zoom Fly SP, showing Nike’s increasing focus on bonding the past with the contemporary.
