Good Measure
Manchester based Good Measure was born through the will and desire to construct better clothing. A brand sparked by endless conversations of friends discussing how clothing should and could be improved, it took an accumulation of years of research to find the best manufacturers for the job. Set out to create the best quality sweatshirts in the UK, Good Measure believe in the provenance of domestic production and support UK manufacturing, having found the last few remaining knitters and factories capable of producing premium quality garments. After taking time to get things right, the attention to fabric weight, reverse weave construction and traditional detailing certainly speaks for itself.
Whenever possible Good Measure base production in the UK but of course British grown cotton is pretty thin on the ground, so in case a warmer climate is needed, they use the very best service or product from Europe, the USA and Japan. Having collaborated with Flatspot on a short run of surf inspired striped tees constructed from limited dead stock striped fabrics, Good Measure sticks to their original ethos when it comes to expanding their offering but aren’t afraid of creative experimentation. Having challenged themselves to make a more sustainable and less environmentally impactful fabric for 2020, a blend of 50% recycled cotton and 50% post consumer plastics has been used for the latest run of staple t-shirts.
Think of Good Measure as a small nod to the history of North West England, in it's days as the centre of the British cotton industry.
