With a namesake that originates from the Japanese mountain Tanigawa, Snow Peak was established in 1958 by Yukio Yamai. Treasuring every individual's initiative through a passion for mountaineering, trail and camping culture, Snow Peak was born from a discontent with climbing gear at the time. Located in Sanjo City in the Chūetsu region of Niigata Prefecture, Snow Peak continues to evoke a strong connection with the outdoors through an appreciation for quality, function, timeless durability and conscious design.

Bringing people close to nature through the idea that by spending time outdoors we find our humanity, Snow Peak is known for its technical camping accessories, homeware items and garments. A merger of Japanese craftsmanship and explored mountain utility, the label is forever evolving, innovating and creating new approaches.
