Soulland
Launched initially as a line of graphic t-shirts, Silas Adler founded Soulland in 2002 and now works alongside the brands CEO Jacob Jampp Berliner to present their own take on modernised streetwear. Taking inspiration from life experiences, their Nordic surroundings and their individualised upbringings for the base of each new collection, the duo continue to present their ideas for the future of streetwear with a consideration for the environment and new innovations without too much concern lent toward conformity to trends. Opening its first flagship store in their home-city of Copenhagen in 2013, the brand remains a go-to host for pop-up concerts and social events, whilst their contemporary cutting-edge feel brings added depth to their evolutionary European narrative.
Notably sourcing materials from their production facilities in Italy, France and Portugal with a driven focus on honouring their GOTS certified factories, their use of 100% organic cotton, FSC-certified hang tags and their sustainability-minded responsibility, Soulland strives to support independent manufactures and generate healthier relationships regardless of season. Collaborations with artist Lulu Kaalund and designer Nikolaj Mentze are mirrored by appreciations for classic custom detailing, as honoured by their capsule Charles M. Schulz collection, whilst the brand’s celebration for cultural differences and community connectedness continues to bring a diversified twist to their much-loved Euro-centric ideals.
