A.P.C. x Brain Dead Imhotep Jacket

Designed with a removable inner lining, the Imhotep Jacket has arrived as part of the A.P.C. x Brain Dead collaborative capsule for autumn/winter ‘19. The washed indigo denim jacket outer has two curved patch pockets added onto either side of the waist with a smaller compartment on the left side of the chest complete with a collaborative woven label, whilst a vibrant text design inspired by themes of sci-fi, society and the environment has been painted in yellow to cover the majority of the front. Customised silver buttons fasten the front and lead up to a collar neckline, matching the fastenings on the sleeve cuffs. Durable flat fell seams have been used for a clean and hard-wearing finish. Supplying additional comfort and warmth, the inner khaki coloured liner is made from polyamide and has a smooth shell with a quilted lining. You can attach/detach the two jackets using internal side zips.

Hailing from Los Angeles, Brain Dead is an independent streetwear company run by Kyle Ng and Ed Davis. An unexpected choice for a collaboration with Paris based A.P.C. who are known for their refined, sophisticated everyday basics, the project has been introduced for autumn/winter ‘19 and sees an unusual selection of styles adorned with custom graphics and contrasting fabrics. Inspired by the energy of young designers, A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou has welcomed the quirky character of Brain Dead whilst giving hints at more experimental collections to come.
