Battenwear Batten-Down Parka

Designed by Battenwear to take on the harsh winter weather, this Batten-Down Parka takes influence from classic outerwear styles and offers timeless allure combined with premium made in the USA construction. The outer layer is made from an olive coloured blend of cotton and nylon, with a heavily insulating 720 power fill that uses 85% down and 15% feather secured by wide baffles that ensure the warmth flows evenly around the body. The front is fastened by silver customised snap buttons along a wide storm flap placket which conceals a 2-way zip closure. The fit of the hood can be adjusted using leather toggle pullcords and can be removed when not needed. For mobility the sleeves have been cut to a raglan shape with elasticated cuffs that provide a secure fit. Pockets have been added onto either side of the waist with both flap entrance pockets and side entry compartments. A full polyester lining runs throughout for extra warmth and comfort.

Founded by Shinya Hasegawa in 2011, Battenwear was launched with a focus on creating high quality sportswear inspired pieces designed to stand up to the elements when worn in the great outdoors. Drawing influence from surf culture during the ‘60s - ‘80s, vibrant colour hues appear each season alongside premium materials and custom detailing that gives each design a distinctive personality. Everything has been made with care in North America with knitwear manufactured in Canada.
