Battenwear Northfield Parka

Featuring a plush polartec fleece lining throughout, this Northfield Parka from Battenwear is a contemporary take on a purposeful mountain parka. Designed with raglan sleeves that allow for full range of movement and a protective attached hood, the shell is made from a blend of nylon and cotton with a smooth surface. The front is fastened by a two way zip with a protective fabric placket secured by customised snap buttons. A variety of pockets added onto the front portray utilitarian influences, including two large expandable pockets on either side of the waist with flap closures, a pleated pocket on the right side of the chest, a smaller patch pocket opposite and a vertical zippered section alongside. On the inside an additional internal zippered pocket is also available should you need extra space. The hood has a shaped peak and panelled construction to provide quality coverage and can be adjusted using external leather toggle pullcords. The fit of the waist can also be adjusted and the sleeves have velcro cuffs.

Inspired by the great outdoors and the history of clothing suited to harsh environments, Battenwear founder Shinya Hasegawa designs each of his seasonal collections with passion and care for the finer details, fabrics and practical cuts. Finding solutions for everyday designs that suit his busy, family-orientated lifestyle such as adding a pocket sized the same as a metro card and a wet dry bag for beach trips, the majority of designs have been made in North America and are both attractive and purposeful.
