Nike Air Huarache Drift Shoes - Volt / Black - White
Nike Air Huarache Drift Shoes
The Nike Huarache was designed by Tinker Hatfield and first released in 1991. At first Nike were sceptical with the design of the shoe, but after an initial testing with some runners in the New York marathon, the success of the shoe seemed only imminent. The Nike Huarache’s name is derived from the Mexican style of sandal, a fitting name since the Huarache is a running shoe stripped down to what is deemed the bare essentials.
The Nike Air Huarache Drift shoe is a reimagined, redesigned contemporary streetwear take on the original, coming in this Volt / Black - White colourway. The overall aesthetic is sleek but powerful; the entire upper is finished in black while volt covers the toe area, tongue and insole while also appearing on a patch on the White outsole.
The Nike Air Huarache Drift is packed with engineered benefits including: Flywire cables which interact with laces for a secure lockdown, an elastic heel strap and midfoot cage for support, foam sole with encapsulated Nike Air cushioning and an outsole with durable rubber on the heel and forefoot.
With the Nike Huarache you can wear the laces however you like, thread them through the Flywire cables, heel clip or even detach the heel clip and go lace free.
