Nike Air Max 1 Premium Shoes

Designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield and originally released in 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 was the first shoe to feature Nike Air cushioning on display, which changed the sneaker game forever. Hatfield’s ability to draw inspiration from unlikely designs set him apart, with the initial concept for the Nike Air Max 1 gaining design cues from France’s Centre Pompidou.

This new special edition reissue of the AM1 comes in the form of the Nike Air Max 1 Premium, which is housed in a Black / Oil Grey - University Red - Sail colourway, which provides subtle contrasts and tonal continuity in all the right places.

Constructed in suede and mesh uppers, the Nike Air Max 1 Premium features the iconic Nike Air Max pocket in the TPU midsole, for responsive, evenly dispersed impact cushioning, while the durable rubber outsole and padded tongue and collar offers peak comfort for an all day, every day sneaker.

The classic Nike Air Max 1 branding comes in the form of the subtle Swoosh on the upper, this time in a leather patch, accompanied by the striking university red embroidered Swoosh sitting up near the toe.
