Nike Air Max 98 Shoes

Prepared for summer, the Nike Air Max 98 has been in the game for over twenty years now and still offers instant classics. The shoe uses several materials, a light grey suede is layered under a summit white leather panel which features a metallic silver embroidered swoosh. The majority of the upper is made out of a white mesh which features white stitching with 3M accenting on the eyelets. The bottom of the lacing unit is decorated with the classic suede patch and embroidered swoosh, which is replicated with ‘98’ on the inside panel. The upper is finished with a red heel tab that also features reflective accenting which is a key theme throughout the shoe. The midsole is white to complement the body, with blue accenting in the airbag and a dark wolf grey outsole.

Designed by Sergio Lozano, who also fathered the Air Max 95, the shoe took inspiration from its predecessor the ‘97 with its full length visible air unit. It was vastly overshadowed by releases around the same time, but it gained popularity when it became the face of a collaboration with Supreme in 2016 which was inspired by the Prada America Cups and since it has been here to stay. Offering a modern take on a classic runner, these can be styled with anything ready for summer, especially shorts.
