Nike Air Max Zephyr EIO Shoes in Metallic Silver, Bright Crimson and Black. Exploring the next generation of Nike Air footwear styles, the Nike Air Max Zephyr EIO incorporates pops of colour that celebrate the Air Max journey with modern, futuristic shapes and materials that provide unbelievable comfort. Bringing the soft cushioning of Air to the uppers, visible transparent units have been incorporated on either side of the foot with Swoosh emblems within, whilst no-sew skins, stitched overlays and super-breathable tactile mesh result in an intriguing look with a variety of textures and an iridescent effect. The lace up fastening works to keep the foot comfortably in place during everyday wear and below the tongue has a jeweled Air pocket for a modern touch. Adding a sleek look the low-cut collar has been padded with a woven ‘Air Max’ pull tab and within the shoe the foam midsole works in harmony with an extra-tall Air unit underfoot for elevated comfort. Bringing attention to the classic logos from the Air Max pantheon, the insole graphic has a unique decorative pattern and completing the design, the 1-piece translucent outsole pays further homage to Nike Air heritage.

Developed by Marion Franklin Rudy an aerospace engineer, the Nike Air legacy was launched during the 1970’s with innovative air-cushioned prototypes designed to increase impact protection whilst providing a smooth ride for track athletes. The first shoe to feature Air cushioning was the 1978 Nike Tailwind which took the industry by storm and continues to be an iconic point of reference for contemporary designs. Celebrating the impact Air innovation has had upon footwear, the Nike Air Max Zephyr EIO incorporates references from other stand out designs within the Nike archive but with contemporary updates focused towards performance.
