Nike Challenger OG Shoes

Nike Challenger OG Shoes in White, University Red, Summit White and Black. As a nearly 1-to-1 remake of the OG 1970’s running shoe, these striking Nike Challenger OG Shoes pay homage to the original but with contemporary fabric updates. Across the midfoot, uppers and heel a combination of soft suede, shimmering fabric and breathable mesh have been utilised to bring attention to different areas of the shoe which each provide a varying level of comfort and ventilation suited to everyday wear. Held in place by a shaped suede border, the variable width lacing system allows you to customise the fit to suit and the cushioned tongue features a heritage inspired woven label below its top edge. Standing out against the light tone body of the shoe, bright university red Swoosh tick decoration has been positioned on either side of the foot with tips that continue around the back of the heel and a slash of white stitching that adds a neat edge. Additionally, capitalised ‘Nike’ lettering has been printed in white on the back of the heel tab for further character. A soft fabric lining runs throughout the inside of the shoe and plush padding around the ankle works in harmony with the sleek, spring midsole for a high level of comfort. Visible from the tip of the toe, the black rubber waffle sole has an exaggerated effect that provides reliable traction during everyday wear.

Bringing a hit of the ‘70s back for modern day, Nike has revived one of their classic footwear designs in a striking colourway that will add a burst of retro styling to your everyday. Originally released in 1979, the Nike Challenger is reminiscent of the Nike Air Tailwind, which was first seen during the 1978 Honolulu Marathon, and expands upon its predecessor with a super clean panelled aesthetic, complete with an iconic waffle tread pattern. Sitting comfortably within Nike’s selection of leisurewear footwear styles, new variations of the Nike Challenger pay homage to Nike’s rich design history.
