Nike Daybreak Shoes - Sail / Phantom - White - Black
Arriving as a modern take on the classic 1979 model, these Nike Daybreak Shoes have sail coloured uppers made from nylon, with phantom hairy suede overlays and a textured tongue. Designed for everyday wear, the white cotton laces wrap through a suede border and provide a secure fastening system and sit upon the tongue which sits comfortably around the top of the foot with a padded underside and a wrap around top label bearing signature Nike SB branding. On either side of the foot elongated Swoosh ticks have been cut from leather and continue around to the back of the heel where the tips are concealed by a textural fabric with embroidered ‘Nike’ lettering on top. Inner padding has been added at the heel and for quality traction the rubber waffle outsole continues around the front of the toes and at the back of the heel underneath a white foam midsole, a signature detail of any Daybreak model.
Updated with modern materials and comfort-focused details, the Nike Daybreak has become known as a casual streetwear style that carries an authentic old school aesthetic that was first seen in 1989. Having gained a strong following after being worn by American runner Benoit Samuleson when she won gold during the first women’s Olympic marathon in 1984, the Daybreak has made a strong return and retains its classic appeal.
