Arriving as a new-season colourway for SU21, these consciously-crafted Nike Daybreak Type shoes are welcomed as part of the brand’s environmentally minded Move to Zero initiative. Inspired by its ‘70s era predecessor and early Bill Bowerman prototypes, this low-collared sneaker features uppers crafted from 100% recycled canvas, whilst its crisp-white EVA foam midsole is complemented by a dark-brown Waffle outsole for added character and cross-terrain functionality. A recycled all-cork heel brace provides added structural support to the rear of the shoe, while tonal bartack reinforcements complement the canvas forefoot overlays for added resiliency when it comes to any everyday setting. A streamlined 7-eyelet recycled lacing system secures the Pagoda-referencing embroidered tongue across the natural arch of the foot, whilst the deep-green quarter-panel Swooshes and the similarly-coloured ankle collar pay active homage to the plant-based materials used in the design’s construction and its earthy use of sustainable manufacturing methodologies across its timely production.
