Nike Drop Type LX Shoes

With the Nike Drop Type LX Shoes, innovation meets classic. Dressed in a black synthetic upper with a rubber toe piece, the multi-layered midsole is housed in crisp white for maximum contrast. As part of the N354 family that nods to the time that celebrated American runner Steve Prefontaine ran his fastest mile, the Nike Drop Type LX takes cues from classic tennis shoe styling, down to the low cut - raw edge silhouette. Offering a streamlined look, autoclave construction moulds the outsole to the midsole, creating an experimental aesthetic for a streetwear ready finish. Nike Swoosh branding can be found on the tongue, accompanied by a debossed logo on a patch just off the toe. As part of the 354 collection, signifying branding sits on the sidewall - depicted in pale pink, which when partnered with the heel panel creates a clean pop of colour. Finishing the design, Nike have sat the Drop Type LX on a sturdy herringbone outsole, giving you reliable traction.

Owing its name to the time in which the late Steve Prefointaine ran his fastest mile, the 354 collection from Nike borrows from the past in order to look to the future. Training athletics under Bill Bowerman, (who in 1964 co-founded Blue Ribbon Sports, which later became Nike) Prefontaine won four 5000 metre track titles in a row, propelling him to become a favourite in American athletics. With grit, guts and determination, Prefontaine’s running style has been described as aggressive from start to finish. Paying homage to the legend, the 354 pack features Drop Type LX and Air Force 1 Type silhouettes.
