Nike React Sertu Shoes

As part of a new project from Nike entitled ‘THE10th’, this is the latest black, white and volt colourway of the React Sertu Shoes which boasts traditional moccasin influences combined with modern lifestyle trainer detailing. Neat embroidered Swoosh ticks sit on either outer side of the toes against black coloured nubuck which sits underneath perforated navy nubuck that curves across the toe vamp and attaches to the cord-like lacing system. Secured by nylon which has been woven into a tonal checkerboard pattern, the laces ensure a secure fit and sit on top of a synthetic translucent tongue with an accentuated top edge coloured in light green. Bringing further texture to the design, brown coloured pebbled leather sits towards the back of the foot underneath a vivid volt green heel panel which is encased by a sculpted cap and a woven black tab with printed ‘The10th’ lettering in red. A prominent feature of the React Sertu, the carved outsole features a Nike React sole unit and raised rubber dots that provide a high level of response and reliable traction.

Launched in the summer of 2019 ‘THE10th’ label is inspired by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman’s time spent within the Army’s 10th Mountain Division during World War II - representing a homage to the tried and true. Boasting an intricate aesthetic as a result of a mix of materials and construction methods, the style represents Nike’s highly experimental approach to design and focus on both style and performance. Created especially for the modern commuter, the outsole has been developed through pressure map testing and incorporates responsive React Foam for a high level of comfort.
