Universal Works Garage Shirt II
Inspired by old American gas station uniforms, this green Garage Shirt II from Universal Works is made from super fine 100% cotton corduroy and has been cut to a relaxed fit. Small circular buttons fasten the front and lead to a smart pointed collar neckline which conceals a top button closure. On either side of the chest two patch pockets with straight edges have been added for storage of small essentials and have been reinforced with fabric panels behind the top entrance points. The sleeves have double button cuffs with a short placket detail above that allows the fabric to be rolled and styled to suit. The body has a straight cut hem with short side slits for mobility, and a ghost patch label has been stitched on the reverse.
Destined to remain a classic throughout time, Universal Works have designed their Garage Shirt II with thought and care for versatile, timeless appeal. For autumn/winter ‘19 a fine wale cotton corduroy has been selected to provide additional warmth without unwanted weight or bulk, and rich colour tones bring warmth to woven patterns and luxurious wool blends. Universal Works are a Nottingham based menswear company founded by David Keyte.
