Universal Works Panel Shirt

Ready for any occasion, the Universal Works Panel Shirt features a full button fastening sitting under a pointed collar that has a slight curve to it. With a hidden top button loop, the shirt allows for a full customisable fit further assured by fastenings on the sleeve cuffs. Inspired by the simple continental looks of the 50’s and 60’s; the panelled construction of the shirt is adorned with alternating bands of ecru, indigo and white textured over a midnight navy body. Finally the front is finished with two chest pockets.

The inspiration to this piece is a common theme throughout Universal Works’ garments, during David Keyte’s formative years his family wore a range of clothes from utilitarian workwear to menswear with a slightly more sophisticated spin. He has in turn taken the silhouettes that are instantly recognisable for anyone who grew up in the latter half of the twentieth century and combined them with luxury materials sourced from trusted mills and factories all over Europe.
