The Levi's Vintage Clothing 1960's Anorak Jacket shows inspiration from the notorious 1975 San Francisco soap box derby. To celebrate the opening of the San Francisco Museum of Art, seventy-nine artists entered a sponsored soap box derby with an array of wacky handcrafted vehicles - which saw $10,000 raised for the museum. But the star of the show was Levi Strauss, their sponsorship clad the wannabe racers in neutral tones of denim and cotton twill which cried out for revival 40 years later.
