Levi's® Vintage Clothing 1960's Anorak Jacket - Cloud Cream
The Levi's Vintage Clothing 1960's Anorak Jacket shows inspiration from the notorious 1975 San Francisco soap box derby. A durable cotton cord twill has been cut to a relaxed silhouette that offers generous room for layers with double stitched seams further contributing to the rugged look that guarantees a lasting product; something encompassed by the Levi’s campaign to create goods that last. A full-length zipper fastening combined with a hood acts as a protection against the elements as well as offering countless possibilities of style. This colourway has been dressed in cloud cream which is contrasted by exposed blue stitching made to match the panels that run down from the collar to the mid-chest.
To celebrate the opening of the San Francisco Museum of Art, seventy-nine artists entered a sponsored soap box derby with an array of wacky handcrafted vehicles - which saw $10,000 raised for the museum. But the star of the show was Levi Strauss, their sponsorship clad the wannabe racers in neutral tones of denim and cotton twill which cried out for revival 40 years later.
