Universal Works Bakers Overshirt

Universal Works have updated their signature Bakers Overshirt in a rich mustard colourway for autumn/winter ‘19. Versatile and hard-wearing, the design signifies a focus on timeless style through a regular fit silhouette and collar neckline cut from durable 100% cotton. The front is fastened by five large circular buttons against a wide placket which leads to the fold down collar. On the left side of the chest a patch pocket has been added for storage of small items whilst at the waist larger compartments are available with an extra coin style pouch within the left side. Straight cut hems complete the body and long sleeves which provides a clean finish whilst allowing for layering and on the reverse a ghost patch has been stitched in colour matched threat as a signature detail.

Founded by David Keyte who had a vision to create real, honest clothing with a focus on fit and good design, 2019 marks the tenth year of Universal Works and their AW19 collection draws inspiration from the Aesop’s fable of the tortoise and the hare - which highlights the importance of a calm and consistent approach. Rich muted colourways rework key silhouettes whilst considered details and versatile cuts result in timeless allure.
