Veja V-10 CWL Shoes

An updated version of Veja’s much loved V-10 model, this CWL edition uses a combination of corn waste and cotton coated with P.U to create a super clean aesthetic that reflects the brands ongoing effects to produce footwear consciously using specialist materials. The white uppers are made from both cotton with a protective P.U coating and the corn waste with two large ‘V’ emblems on either side of the foot cut from a textural light brown coloured suede. Across the toe vamp perforation has been added to encourage ventilation and above white laces help to keep the fit in place during all day wear. The tongue is lightly padded for comfort with a printed Veja logo in a matching tone of light brown and around the back of the heel an additional suede tab provides a background for printed ‘VEJA’ lettering. Throughout the inside an organic cotton and recycled polyester blend lining has been added alongside an insole made of wild rubber and other synthetic materials. The natural butter outsole is made from wild rubber sourced from the Amazonian forest and features an intricate tread pattern that supplies quality grip across a variety of terrains.

Officially launched in 2005 Veja continues to demonstrate how footwear can be made in a mindful way using innovative upcycled materials and fabrics that have been consciously sourced with the planet and workers in mind. Their CWL model is vegan and uses a biodegradable, bio-based corn waste based fabric that offers an alternative to leather without using high levels of petroleum-based materials.
