Veja Volley Canvas Shoes

Launched in 2004, the low-cut silhouette of these Volley Canvas Shoes uses white organic cotton across the uppers and suede and leather for decorative, durable nautico tone panelling which results in a sporty, 70’s volley-ball inspired style. Neat top stitching highlights the toe area and includes perforated accents which increase comfort and breathability. White cotton laces above offer a secure fit and sit above the tongue which has a small printed ‘Veja’ logo in black at the top. A signature detail of all of the brand’s styles, wild rubber indigo coloured ‘V’ overlays have been added to the outer sections and additional ‘Veja’ text has been printed in white upon pekin red panels on the back of the heel. An organic cotton lining runs throughout and the insole is made from expanded P.U. The slim white outsole is made from wild rubber sourced from the Amazonian forest and a natural coloured tread sits underneath.

Veja focus on using sustainably, ethically sourced materials for their contemporary footwear styles in hope of promoting conservation, recycled materials and transparent production techniques. Each pair of their shoes are designed in Paris where the brand is based, and collections are produced entirely in Brazil where the team have sought out cotton, canvas and rubber suppliers who they ensure are all paid fairly using fair trade principles.
