Veja Womens Nova Canvas Shoes

Designed with black organic cotton uppers and contrasting pierre coloured accents that match the outsole, these Womens Canvas Shoes from Veja have been consciously made using natural materials that are in-line with the brands sustainable vision. The low-cut silhouette ensures suitability for casual everyday wear and means you can easily style these shoes with a variety of ensembles throughout the year. Around the front of the toes an additional section of rubber has been added for protection from abrasions and above this the lace up fastening threads through metal eyelets to help keep the foot secure when on the move. The tongue has a screen printed Veja logo and on either side of the foot large ‘V’ emblems have also been printed for signature decoration. On the back of the heel a fabric loop aids entry and throughout the inside of the shoe an organic cotton lining has been added. The wide outsole is partialy made from a combination of Amazonian rubber and has a durable finish with a grip-focused tread pattern underfoot.

With a vision to show how stylish footwear can be made ethically and sustainably, François-Ghislain Morillion and Sébastien Kopp founded Veja in 2003 after seeing the poor conditions of a Chinese factory which made them wonder if they could lead the way in changing conventional operations. Having done just that, Veja has gained a strong following of those who appreciate their contemporary designs and focus on using consciously sourced materials.
