Yosemite in the Sixties (Hardcover) by Glen Denny. Published by Patagonia and the winner of the 2007 Banff Mountain Book Award for Mountain Image, this Yosemite in the Sixties hardcover contains a collection of rare black and white photographs taken of the Yosemite Valley during the 1960’s. Printed onto 144 pages of 50% recycled paper, Patagonia founder Yvon Chouniard has written the preface whilst essays from Kevin Starr, Steve Roper and Glen Denny give an accurate insight into the area during the time.

A great read for any outdoor enthusiasts or those interested in the history of the Yosemite region, this hardcover includes intimate portraits of big-wall pioneers during the late fifties and early sixties. If you enjoy this book take a look at a prior release Yosemite In The Fifties: The Iron Age by Dean Fidelman by John Long and Toom Adler.
